Add quality rules to a property
Last updated on October 9, 2026
Audits check each property automatically. Add your own rules when you need more, for example a price that must be greater than 0.
Checks done automatically
From the "Data type" of a property: is a number, is a text, is boolean, is an object or is an array.
From its "Value type": "Dynamic required value" must not be empty, "Fixed value" must equal the value you set, "Optional dynamic value" may be missing.
Add a rule
- 1
Open the property from the Library, an event or the tracking plan.
- 2
Click "Add rule".
- 3
Choose the "Rule" and type its "Argument".
- 4
Click "Save".
Rules you can use
is, includes text, starts with, ends with, is greater than, is lesser than, matches regular expression, seems like, exists, is empty, is not empty.
Every rule of a property must pass. If the presence or type check fails, the other rules of that property are skipped.
"Add rule" is not available on anonymized properties, fixed values, objects and arrays.
