Install the Tag Insight pixel

The pixel is a small JavaScript snippet, one per project. It captures the dataLayer and tracking requests of your real visitors.

Install it

Open your project, then "Install Tag Insight".

Click "Copy snippet".

Paste it in the <head> of every page of your site.

Visit your site. Tag Insight detects the pixel automatically and confirms "Installation verified successfully!".

You can also add the snippet through a "Custom HTML" tag in GTM, fired on all pages.

You can send the snippet to a developer with "Send code to a teammate". It opens your own email client, Tag Insight sends nothing.

The header shows "Pixel live" when a hit was received in the last 24 hours, "Pixel offline" otherwise.

every hit captured by the pixel counts towards your hit quota. See "Notifications, quotas and credits".
